Okezie should blame his lawyers and not Ogah
If Dr Okezie Ikpeazu lose's his seat as the Abia state governor due to this tax clearance case he should blame his lawyers and not Sampson Ogah.

As a salary earner your taxes are deducted at source.

Ikpeazu does not need to forge any tax clearance certificate and does not need to alter anything as long as the Abia state IRS prepared and issued him the certificate whether he applied for and got it same day, 3 days later or a month later.

One thing has become clear, the case started even before the gubernatorial election in Abia state so it wasn't just a new case and couldn't have had anything to do with Ikpeazu's position on the grazing reserves bill.

I see this as clear case of incompetence on the part of his lawyers who took things for granted.

That stated, the speed at which INEC obeyed the court order simply shows that there are other powerful interests at play here that want to take advantage of the situation to either settle old scores or get hold of the state, after all na oil producing state.

You cannot carry out fundamental change without a certain amount of madness. In this case, it comes from nonconformity, the courage to turn your back on the old formulas, the courage to invent the future. It took the madmen of yesterday for us to be able to act with extreme clarity today. I want to be one of those madmen. [...] We must dare to invent the future....Thomas Sankara
